Avocado Sunblotch Viroid is a submicroscopic particle of genetic material that infects avocado trees and causes sunblotch disease. It can reduce fruit yield and quality, and produce discolorations, cracks, and deformities on fruit, leaves, twigs, and bark. It can also be symptomless in some trees. It is transmitted by grafting, pollen, seeds, or contaminated tools. This kit is based on real-time reverse transcription PCR to detect avocado sunblotch viroid.
