Salmonella spp. is a group of bacteria that can cause food poisoning and gastroenteritis in humans. They are commonly found in contaminated food and water, and can lead to symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain. While most infections resolve on their own, severe cases can lead to hospitalization and even death. The kit uses an automated nucleic acid amplification system to detect Salmonella in food and environmental samples.
Features and Benefits:
• Next day results for foods
• Harmonized single enrichment medias for testing samples for other pathogen targets
• Utilizes the innovative immunomagnetic separation (IMS) device for additional specificity and faster time to results
• Simplified sample prep does not require heating blocks or preparation of reagents
• Proprietary cycler is a rotory-based cycler that ensures uniform heating and cooling of all samples
Components: Each 100 kit includes:
• Salmonella Amplification Tubes Tq (0.2 mL)
• Salmonella Concentration Reagent
• Resuspension Buffer Tq
