"Diarrhea virus" is a broad term that can refer to a range of viruses that can cause diarrhea, including norovirus, rotavirus, and enterovirus, among others. These viruses are highly contagious and can be transmitted through contaminated food or water, as well as through contact with infected individuals or surfaces. While most cases of viral diarrhea are mild and self-limiting, they can be particularly dangerous for young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. The kit is based on real-time PCR technology to detect Norovirus, Rotavirus, Astrovirus, Sapovirus and DNA from Adenovirus in specimens such as rectal swabs or stool samples.
