Yellow fever virus is a viral disease that is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes, primarily in tropical regions of Africa and South America. While many cases are asymptomatic or mild, in severe cases, yellow fever can cause liver and kidney failure, bleeding, and even death. The kit is based on a PCR reaction to detect Yellow Fever Virus in the sample.
