Macrobrachium rosenbergii nodavirus (MrNV) is a virus that infects freshwater prawns and causes white tail disease. It belongs to the family Nodaviridae and has two segments of positive-sense single-stranded RNA genome of about 3 kb each. MrNV can cause whitening of muscles, necrosis of tissues, reduced growth, and mortality in prawns. MrNV is transmitted by horizontal contact or ingestion of infected tissues or water. MrNV has been detected in several countries in Asia and Oceania where prawn culture is important. This kit is based on real-time reverse transcription PCR to detect macrobrachium rosenbergii nodavirus (MrNV).
Kit components:
• Universal qPCR Master Mix
• Primer, Probes and Internal Control Mix
• One qRTPCR Enzyme Mix
• MrNV Positive Control
• MrNV Negative Control
• PCR grade Water
• Exogenous RNA control
• Exogenous RNA control Primer and Probes Mix
