Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is a common viral pathogen that belongs to the family Herpesviridae. With its ability to infect a wide range of human cells, HCMV has been found to be one of the most successful viruses in the world, with over half of adults being infected by the age of 40. Despite its prevalence, HCMV often goes unnoticed in healthy individuals, but can pose significant risks to individuals with weakened immune systems, such as infants, transplant recipients, and people living with HIV. The kit is based on real-time PCR technology to detect HCM in human urine sample.
