Staphylococcus Aureus is a gram-positive bacterium that is commonly found on the skin and in the nasal passages of humans. While S. Aureus can be harmless, it can also cause a range of infections, from minor skin infections to more serious infections such as pneumonia, sepsis, and endocarditis. S. Aureus is also notorious for its ability to develop antibiotic resistance, making it difficult to treat infections. The kit is based on real-time PCR technology to detect S. Aureus .
