Rickettsia-Like Bacteria (RLB) is a group of bacterial pathogens that infect cultured shrimp species, including Pacific white shrimp and black tiger shrimp. RLBs are intracellular bacteria that can infect various tissues and organs of shrimp, causing a range of symptoms, including lethargy, reduced feeding, and mortality. RLB infections can cause significant economic losses in the shrimp aquaculture industry, and effective prevention and control measures are necessary to mitigate their impact. The development of molecular diagnostic tools and the implementation of biosecurity measures can aid in early detection and prevention of RLB infections in shrimp farms. The kit is based on real-time PCR technology to detect RLB.
Kit components:
1. Universal qPCR Master Mix
