Product Description

Human adenoviruses (Ads) are a group of viruses that can cause respiratory, ocular, and gastrointestinal infections in humans. Adenoviruses are highly contagious and can spread through contact with infected individuals, contaminated surfaces, or airborne droplets. While most adenovirus infections are mild and self-limiting, they can cause severe illness in immunocompromised individuals, infants, and the elderly. Adenoviruses are also being developed as vectors for gene therapy and vaccine development due to their ability to efficiently infect human cells. The kit is based on real-time PCR technology to detect Ads.
