The CD BRAF Codon 600 RT-PCR Kit is an assay product that uses specific probes to identify BRAF V600E, V600K, V600D, V600R, V600M, and V600G mutations. The RAF gene encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a role in regulating the MAP kinase/ERK signaling pathway, which affects cell growth and spreading. Mutations in BRAF have been found in cancers including non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, colorectal cancer, malignant melanoma, papillary thyroid carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and lung adenocarcinoma. And BRAF mutations are generally found in tumors with wild-type KRAS, NRAS, and EGFR.
Detects as little as 1% mutation load.
Highly sensitive and specific.
Works with FFPE, fresh frozen, FNA and plasma samples.
Includes internal control.
Available as RUO and CE-IVD.
Mutation Name Nucleotide Change Amino Acid Change Frequency
V600E c.1799T>A Valine (V) to glutamic acid (E) 70-90%
V600K c.1798_1799GT>AA Valine (V) to lysine acid (K) 10-15%
V600D c.1799_1800TG>AT Valine (V) to aspartic acid (D) <5%
V600R c.1798_1799GT>AG Valine (V) to arginine (R) <5%
