Salmonella spp. is a group of bacteria that can cause food poisoning and gastroenteritis in humans. They are commonly found in contaminated food and water, and can lead to symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain. Infection with Salmonella spp. is one of the main causes of acute diarrhoeal disease. The kit is based on a PCR reaction for the detection of Salmonella spp. in food and environmental samples.
Features and Benefits:
• Next day results for foods utilizing a single enrichment media
• Harmonized enrichment medias for testing samples for other pathogen targets in addition to Salmonella.
• Validated for raw beef, raw pork, raw ground turkey, poultry carcass rinse, raw shrimp, non fat dry milk, liquid milk, egg, spices, peanut butter, pasta, stainless steel, rubber, concrete, among others.
• Features innovative immunomagnetic separation (IMS) for additional specificity and faster time to results
• Simplified sample preparation, does not require heating blocks or preparation of reagents
