Hop Latent Viroid is a small particle of genetic material that infects hop plants and causes stunting or dudding disease. It can affect the growth and quality of the hops, and produce reduced cone yield and poor brewing quality. It can also infect cannabis plants, which are relatives of hops. It is transmitted by grafting, vegetative propagation, or contaminated tools. This kit is based on real-time reverse transcription PCR to detect hop latent viroid.
