Gut Microbiota Proteomics Services

The role of gut microbiota in maintaining the normal function of the body has been paid more and more attention. Gut microbiota can regulate the body's mood, cognition, pain and sleep, etc., and is closely related to many diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, anxiety and depression, and autism.

CD Genomics has established an accurate, sensitive, and high-throughput analysis platform for gut microbiota proteomics. We provide proteomics technology to study microbial communities. Large-scale identification of the composition of all protein groups of the microbial community at a specific time can obtain all protein information from different species in the sample.

What We Can Provide

  • Discovery proteomics: The abundance of the protein in the target sample may vary within several orders of magnitude, and the concentration of most target proteins is usually very low. It is widely used in biomarker discovery and large-scale analysis of specific proteomes, including protein abundance, protein modification, protein-protein interactions and protein-compound interactions. Discovery proteomics has extremely high requirements for resolution, sensitivity and informatics tools.
  • Targeted proteomics: targeted quantification of a group of known proteins of interest.

Specific services include but are not limited to:

  • Protein identification service: obtain as much protein information as possible through mass spectrometry technology. It is mainly used for comprehensive analysis of the types of proteins contained in unknown samples.
  • Protein quantitative service
  • Isotope-labeled relative and absolute quantification (iTRAQ) proteomics: Peptide labeling facilitates the identification of more proteins, the quantitative results are highly accurate, and mass spectrometry quantitative analysis of 8 sets of samples can be completed at the same time.

Label-free proteomics: minimal manipulation of samples, free from restriction of sample conditions, and less protein samples are required in the sample. Multi-reaction detection technology (MRM) aims to analyze and detect changes in the expression levels of key proteins that may be related to special functions in multiple samples.

DIA/SWATH quantitative proteomics: There is no bias to species, and it can complete the quantification of thousands of proteins with extremely high accuracy.

  • Protein modification analysis: analysis of protein modification sites such as phosphorylation modification, acetylation modification, and ubiquitination modification
